For Someone Beautiful

You are a world of tempered moods,
Stilled gentle waters,
Mysterious shrouds,
That ebb likes the tides
And flows with the moon,
And blooms
Like winters flowers in June.
You are delight when you smile.
Your eyes sparkle
Like jewels on the Nile
And I look on in wonder
As you stare into space
Unaware of the wonder
That I see in your face.
You are a gift
From some greater place,
Earthbound to bless this space
With your grace.
You are a wonder of the divine,
A snapshot of heaven frozen in time.

Cruel Kindness

I spend my time staring at the ceiling.
I wish I could help you understand
That all the things I thought I believed in
Die when you take my hand.

I thought that loving you would be enough
To help me become so much better a man.
My Love, these times have been rough
And I am now the shadow of who I am.

I’ve seen my whole world in your eyes
When you gaze at me like I’m your first.
My pain inside has brought me to despise
Ever being the one you’ve loved the most.

I hate to bring this space between us
But it’s the cruel kindness that you’ll see
Many years from now when you’ll know I loved you.
Maybe then you’ll forget about me.

Gravity

I don’t know why you have this effect on me.
I listen as you breathe and I hear it as my destiny.
My path feels locked in with yours
As we wander through the stars,
Journeying breadthless worlds
That may someday be ours.
I see into your soul at the uncharted terrains,
And to conquest through your heart’s stifling restraints.
You have this effect on me
Like invisible ropes that never fray.
Like the tides of Gravity.
I know I can’t ever stray.

Revelation

I’ve come to see beneath your skin
To the core of all you are;
A vessel that protects the treasures of heaven
Hand-picked from every star.
You’re a light that shines ever so bright,
That blinds the light of day,
A radiance that radiates such warmth
That no seeing soul could turn away.
It blossoms as a flower is born,
Gasping the essence of all things,
Each time pulsing with renewed life
As love spreads its wings.
I’m enveloped by your magnificence
Which draws out all my strength
And leaves me stirring, my heart yearning,
Defenseless and out of breath.
When I look towards you again,
I’m reminded, oh fair maiden,
That life begins inside your soul.
Love is born in the soul of a woman.

Perfection

There is Perfection in creation,
A perfection that is you,
A world and heart I dream of everyday.
I see you and I break away
From the real world.
I know that this can only be Love
But my love cannot be much
When I compare it to thee.
Such perfection looks down upon a soul
Such as me.
I am no master of words
Nor a judge to you.
I’m merely a man who has fallen in love
With Perfection.
That is you.

Falling in Love

Everyone around me
seems to be falling in love
and finding that perfection
we can only dream of,
that feeling in the soul
in the warmth of the shade
of a heart set to dance
to the tune that’s being played.
As the sun starts to shine
bearing down its gifts,
an angel ascends slowly,
into the heavens it lifts
and smiles down on the  Earth
from the clouds up above
to share the joy that radiates
from falling in love.
